What is the viewing angle?
The viewing angle of the LED display is also known as the half-power angle. It refers to the angle formed between the two observation directions of the same plane and the normal direction when the brightness in the observation direction drops to half the brightness in the normal direction of the LED display. The specific value can only be measured with professional instruments.
The viewing angle can also be understood as the maximum or minimum angle at which the screen can be seen clearly. In layman’s terms, it is a reference value of the maximum or minimum angle at which the human eye can clearly see the display screen. The viewing angle of the full-color LED display includes two indicators, horizontal and vertical.
Horizontal viewing angle of LED display
The horizontal viewing angle refers to the vertical imaginary line in the middle of the full-color LED display screen, and the image can still be seen normally at a certain angle on the left or right side of the normal line. This angle range is the horizontal viewing angle of the LED display.
The horizontal viewing angle here refers to the vertical way of the LED display (the vertical false line in the middle of the LED display) line. At left and right angles perpendicular to the normal, the human eye can clearly see the information displayed on the display.
Vertical viewing angle of LED display
Likewise, if a horizontal normal is used, the top and bottom viewing angles are called vertical viewing angles. Generally speaking, the viewing angle is based on the contrast change as a reference standard. When the viewing angle increases, the contrast of the displayed image seen at this position will decrease. When the contrast is reduced to 10:1, this angle is the maximum viewing angle of the LED display.
